Dear Potential New Members,
Welcome to the University of Tulsa! You are about to start the most fun and exciting four years of your life. Your decision to come to TU is one you won’t ever regret, and I’m excited to welcome you into our Golden Hurricane family!
The transition to college is a pretty big one, but there are a few things that helped me confidently call Tulsa my home right from the start. I chose to participate in recruitment, and from my first moments in Chi Omega, I was able to picture a college experience I had only imagined having until that point.
Chi Omega is more than a social organization. It represents a sincere, hardworking group of women that each value character, scholarship, and helpfulness. Every one of my sisters are aspiring, driven women that hold friendship close to heart. Our goals are many, but our focus is simple: helping each other be the best we can be. When I went through recruitment, this focus was evident -- I realized these were women I would feel comfortable walking through life with while also being encouraged and supported in all my endeavors and aspirations. I have grown into a more confident, capable, and outgoing woman that my high school self only dreamed of being, and I couldn’t have become that person without Chi Omega.
As members of the Epsilon Gamma Chapter, we value our commitment to service, career development, academic excellence, leadership, campus activities, and genuine friendships. The experiences I’ve had, the lessons I’ve learned, and the relationships I’ve created through my time in Chi Omega have shaped the person I am today. As I’m now entering my senior year this fall, I can honestly say that I would not have accomplished nearly as much in my last three years without my sisters supporting and loving me. I am beyond lucky to live with these women and continuously grow with them.
